We are currently recruiting for experienced Site Managers for various different sites across Aberdeenshire
Key tasks and responsibilities
Day to day management of site operations, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints.
Requisition of materials and overseeing deliveries and prioritising the use of resources.
Fulfilling the role of temporary works co-ordinator on the project.
Supervising and managing the site team including employees and sub-contractors and ensuring all are working to schedule and following common operational standards.
Ensuring workmanship and finishes are achieved in accordance with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation as well as the Company’s quality standards.
Ensuring compliance with the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and in compliance with ISO45001.
Maintaining quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001and ISO 14001.
Completing necessary daily/weekly HSEQ forms and maintaining HSEQ records as required by the Company.
Maintaining close relations with the Project Manager and Project Quantity Surveyor regarding labour, subcontractors, cost control, waste management, variations, confirmation of instructions, change controls & Construction Programme.
Creating and maintaining good relations with clients, design teams as well as sub-contractors.
Qualifications & Competency
CITB SMSTS site supervisor certificate
CSCS Card
Drivers license
First Aid
Desirable:
Bachelor Degree related to construction or civil engineering
Management qualification NVQ/SVQ level 4 is desirable (holds or is currently undertaking or is willing to achieve in a timely manner).
Competencies:
Sufficient knowledge and experience of managing the construction of multi-disciplinary highly serviced buildings to demonstrate full competency in site management of such projects.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, persuade, guide and motivate others.
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Computer Literacy – including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
Ability to challenge any party should the need arise on QA / H&S / Cost.
