"CHAP recognises that people are at the very core of their success and this makes for happy employees working within a friendly environment" It is a matter of great pride to the Directors of the CHAP group that 68 members of staff have been presented with an award for over 21 years service. The names are proudly displayed on a large wooden notice board in the Groups main reception. This figure becomes all the more amazing when we realise that the company has only been in existence for 30 years! CHAP's commitment to it's staff is evident in their continual involvement in Scotlands Health of Work scheme. Indeed, they have achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold awards in this and continue to follow it's ethos in the belief that a healthier, happier workforce is a huge asset. CHAP are also very commited at present in the Investors in People programme. The friendliness, which is a feature of working with CHAP, is often commented on, indeed many compare working with CHAP to being part of a large family. Staff outings and activities are legendary, with the Annual Dinner Dance being the highlight of annual social events. Other employee activities include curling, fishing, golf, football and group walks. CHAP staff have regularly taken part in the charity event 'Relay for Life' which is in aid of Cancer Research and allows staff the chance to spend the night together!! whilst raising money for a good cause. It has even been known for groups of female staff to take Trans-atlantic shopping trips together! - and male staff to venture to Amsterdam!
